Requesting Permission

Provide in writing the following information: your name (and title); the name, postal and email addresses, and telephone numbers of your organization; the mission and purpose of your organization; similar information for any other relevant contact persons in your organization; a detailed description of the material for which you are requesting permission, and where it is located on our website; and a detailed description of your intention and purpose of use of the material (how and why it will be used, published, and distributed). ‘The Kaivalyam Foundation’ reserves the right to deny or withdraw permission, for any reason, for use of any material published on this website.

Cancellation Policy

The following information pertains to course registration and booking procedures

for yoga vacations and day stay at the ashram:

Course Registration:

To secure your place in the course, full payment of the fees is required at the time of booking. If you wish to cancel your booking, the refund policy is as follows:

  1. Cancellation up to 5 days prior to the start of the program will result in an 80% refund.

  2. Cancellation between 2-4 days prior to the start of the program will result in a 50% refund.

  3. Cancellation on the day of the program start date will result in a 25% refund.

  4. Failure to attend the program without prior cancellation will result in no refund.

 

Yoga Vacations and Day Stay at the Ashram:

Booking for yoga vacations and day stay at the ashram must be made at least 2 days prior to the desired stay dates, and confirmation of availability will be provided at the time of inquiry. 

 

Once availability is confirmed by the ashram office, full payment is required to confirm the booking. The cancellation policy for these stays is as follows:

  1. If you need to change the dates of your stay and provide at least two days' notice, the ashram will accommodate the change subject to availability of stay. No fees will be levied for this change.

  2. If you wish to change the dates on the day of your confirmed accommodation, 80% of the paid-up fees will be adjusted for your next booking.

  3. If you cancel your stay or fail to attend on the scheduled date, you will receive an 80% refund.

Housekeeping Policy 

Kaivalyam Ashram and Retreat is committed to providing a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for all guests. We ask for your cooperation in maintaining cleanliness and order during your stay. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our housekeeping policy:

 

  1. Room Cleaning: The ashram follows a daily cleaning routine for all the rooms, dorms, and bathrooms. Housekeeping staff will come to your room between 11:00 am and 12:30 pm to clean and tidy up the space. You are requested to be present while they clean your stay area. If you prefer not to have your room cleaned on a particular day, please inform the reception in advance.

  2. Laundry: The ashram does not have laundry facilities. Guests are expected to wash their clothes by hand and hang them to dry. Laundry soap and washing powder are provided at a cost, and procured by contacting the reception. Please do not hang your clothes outside your room or in common areas.

  3. Waste Management: The ashram is committed to promoting sustainability and responsible waste management practices. Guests are requested to dispose of their waste in the designated bins provided in the rooms and common areas. Please do not litter or throw waste outside the ashram premises.

  4. Water Conservation: The ashram's water supply comes from a well, and it is essential to conserve water. Guests are requested to use water judiciously and not waste it. Please do not keep the taps running unnecessarily, and report any leaks to the reception.

  5. Eco-Friendly Practices: We encourage guests to adopt eco-friendly practices during their stay at the ashram. Please switch off lights, fans, and other electrical appliances when not in use. Do not waste food, and try to consume only what you need.

  6. Smoking and Alcohol: Smoking, alcohol, and non-vegetarian food are strictly prohibited inside the ashram premises. Please respect the ashram's rules and refrain from bringing any such items into the ashram.

  7. Personal Belongings: Guests are responsible for the safety and security of their personal belongings. Please do not leave valuables unattended in the rooms or common areas. The ashram is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal belongings.

  8. Silence and Respect for Others: The ashram is a place of spiritual practice and meditation. Please maintain silence and respect for others' privacy during your stay. Avoid playing loud music or making noise that may disturb other guests.

  9. Feedback and Suggestions: We welcome your feedback and suggestions on our housekeeping policies and practices. Please feel free to share your views with the reception or management staff.
